This is the first in a series of successes of the Internet, which will begin to see the power play in the blog. I hope you enjoy it!
Markus Frind, the creator of Plentyoffish.com is the story of little success, he also managed to obtain the status of the former ruling party by giant corporations and give it its own brand of marketing savvy. A case of David against Goliath, where the little guy comes out on top at the end. Marcus is the "individual" Top AdSense publisher in terms of the display of the page. Lets see some of his secrets as he shares some tips with our readers. Feel free to comment!
Marcus, what is your experience in computer programming, and how it does not prepare you to become a webmaster?
And displaying the page on average per day is about 14 million last week. I get to the last page of 80 million users on Election Day to see if you have new messages. Bandwidth intensive really wise!
When I go to your website, I noticed that the ads are targeted in our area, but I have not registered, so you can explain to our readers how to accomplish this feat?
I'm just using ip2location.com, basically, I take your IP address, and search the database and tell me what is your city. Can I make a list of users in your city, no magic at all.
Most visitors coming from search engines, first (SERPs), or do you find that it comes from other means? Do you actively advertise in the media?
Search engines are responsible for something like 2% of my traffic. The vast majority of my traffic, like any other site with over 5 million page views a day come from word of mouth and repeat visitors.
Services on your website seems to be available free to registered users. There are some advantages you have over your competitors, allowing you to do this?
I developed new algorithms that allow me to create a site next to a huge cost. Several years ago created the algorithm that was thousands of times faster than the algorithm used in 1990 to search for a string of 22 prime numbers. At that time, the use of supercomputers and professor of several hundreds of computers on a regular basis for several years to find a record. I did the same thing in a computer in two weeks.
Great! Are there other sites to maintain at the moment, or are plentyoffish.com one?
On site only at this time. I have a few other sites I signed up to friends so they can see to do marketing / affiliate of things. At this point, I think a site is sufficient.
Some tips for those looking to create a profitable business on the internet?
If someone else thinks what you do is a good idea that it is not ... To find something you do not believe it's important, and building a site with a great movement in this area. Also keep in mind, sites that may contain liquefaction low today, but the traffic must be gold mines of tomorrow. Will be converted to cash in everything and anything in the online world at one point, traffic is king.
Traffic is king, too wise counsel, Marcus. Last question, how do you find time to hold such a bulky goods on the Internet? Surely you must have some other interests in life besides the programming and monitoring of the site?
, It only takes one hour per day on average, but they work very tiring. I spent a few more hours of reading and see what happens.
